Rate: $24 – $26 per hour + commission
Reports To: Director of Sales / General Manager
Title: Sales Manager
Typical Hours: Approximately 40 hours per week; flexibility required to support events and client needs, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays

 

 

Job Purpose

The Sales Manager plays a key role in driving revenue through the successful booking and execution of private events at Drive Shack. This position is responsible for prospecting new business opportunities, managing inbound event inquiries, and ensuring each event is flawlessly executed from initial sale to post-event follow-up. This role works cross-functionally with operations, marketing, and corporate leadership to deliver exceptional guest experiences and achieve sales targets.

 

Responsibilties

  • Sell and coordinate events from booking to communicating details to the venue’s management teams, ensuring each client has a unique and memorable event
  • Prepare sales reports to present to Drive Shack Inc. Corporate Office (weekly, monthly, and quarterly) 
  • Proactively prospect and introduce new event business opportunities
  • Work directly with various members of the Operations Team and National Sales Diretors on areas of opportunity to further enhance the guest experience and profitability
  • Generate and support programs to drive a culture of high performance, innovation, and fun
  • Responsible for knowing assigned local markets for both corporate and social event opportunities
  • Maximize revenues through upselling techniques
  • Perform other duties as requested by management

  • Ensure that guests receive immediate, friendly, and personalized service
  • Establish rapport with Drive Shack guests and promote prompt, courteous, efficient guest services
  • Represent Drive Shack by joining and participating in local community organizations
  • Attend networking events, trade shows and expos at least once a month
  • Maintain a safe working environment for you and your employees at all times, understand and enforce safe work practices in a fair and consistent fashion.

Additional Information

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of event sales experience in hospitality, food & beverage, or entertainment venues

  • Strong understanding of event lifecycle, inventory control, and client management

  • Demonstrated ability to exceed sales targets and drive guest satisfaction

  • Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM/event management tools (POS systems, Salesforce, Tripleseat, etc.)

  • High school or equivalent education required
  • Culinary/Hospitality Management Degree or Apprenticeship Program preferred

Working Conditions

  • This position requires flexibility in scheduling and availability.
  • The Event Sales Manager is expected to work a wide range of hours, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays, based on the needs of the business and event schedule.
  • Attendance at onsite events and external networking functions is also required.
